Iron Strong | 90 Count
4.2

Created by Dr. Rocca, a PhD pharmaceutical scientist, for his own son Renzo. Made in an NSF-certified facility and independently third-party tested. Most iron supplements for kids cause stomach upset, stain teeth, and taste awful. Renzo's Iron Strong uses Carbonyl Iron, a gentler form of iron that is less likely to upset the stomach and does not stain teeth, paired with Vitamin C to help support iron absorption. Sugar-free, vegan, dissolves in the mouth. 90 Melty Tabs per bottle, a 1 to 3 month supply depending on age.
Carbonyl Iron is produced through a different process than standard iron salts like ferrous sulfate or ferrous gluconate. The result is a form of iron that is absorbed more gradually, which reduces the risk of the nausea, stomach cramping, and constipation often associated with iron supplementation in children. It also does not stain teeth, which is a common complaint with liquid iron supplements. For children who need regular iron supplementation, this matters.
Vitamin C helps support the absorption of non-haem iron from supplements. Renzo's pairs the two in the same tablet so the absorption support is built in with every dose, rather than relying on dietary Vitamin C to do the job.
Per serving (children ages 4 and up, 2 tablets): Iron (as Carbonyl Iron) 9 mg, Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid) 30 mg. Other Ingredients: Mannitol, Xylitol, Natural Flavors and Color, Plant-Based Magnesium Stearate and Stearic Acid, Monk Fruit Extract, Malic Acid. Free from gluten, soy, dairy, eggs, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, and shellfish. Vegan. Non-GMO. No artificial colours or flavours.
Allow tablet to dissolve in the mouth. No water necessary. Can also be dissolved in water, juice, or a smoothie.
01
Why does my child need an iron supplement?
Iron deficiency is one of the most common nutritional gaps in children, particularly picky eaters who may not eat enough iron-rich foods like meat, beans, or leafy greens. A daily iron supplement helps support normal iron levels and contributes to healthy energy and development. Always confirm with your child's healthcare provider whether supplementation is appropriate.
02
What makes Carbonyl Iron different?
Carbonyl Iron is absorbed more gradually than standard iron salts, which significantly reduces the risk of stomach upset, nausea, and constipation that are common side effects of iron supplementation. It also does not stain teeth, which is a common problem with liquid iron formulas.
03
Why is Vitamin C included?
Vitamin C helps support the absorption of iron from supplements. Including both in the same tablet ensures the absorption support is consistent with every daily dose.
04
How is this different from the Picky Eater Multi which also contains iron?
The Picky Eater Multi contains a broad spectrum of 18 vitamins and minerals including a small amount of iron. Iron Strong is a targeted iron supplement with a higher iron dose for children who have been specifically advised by their healthcare provider to increase their iron intake. If your child has been told they need more iron than a standard multivitamin provides, Iron Strong is the appropriate choice.
05
What age is this suitable for?
Renzo's Iron Strong is formulated for children ages 2 and up. Consult your child's healthcare provider before starting iron supplementation, particularly for younger children or those on medication.
